Poor design.Anonymous reviewerLooks like the holes for the brawler runners on the frame are not in the right place to allow the drawers to be fitted. After trying various combination and trying to force in some new holes we are left with a bottom drawer that doesn’t properly close. IKEA flat pack furniture has generally come a long way, this set has not!1

Most difficult piece of IKEA furniture to buildAnonymous reviewerI've built a lot of IKEA furniture, about £9000 worth of it, and this has to be the most difficult piece of furniture I've put together. The instructions are not clear for constructing the frame and the bottom drawer instructions are just incorrect making you put the base of the drawer in the wrong position. It took me 2 hours to build including taking it apart twice to get it right. And now it's together I can't grip the drawers to slide them out. Another trip to the shops to buy some handles is now required. Not buying smatstad platsa again1

Not greatAnonymous reviewerFrom start to finish this product has caused nightmares, failed to be delivered on the date confirmed, had to chase IKEA to reschedule, then it arrives on the next agreed date missing the main frame! Had to call IKEA so many times to get support. The frame arrived 2 weeks later and the pieces all don't fit in! I'm not great with building stuff but my brother is. Just don't bother with this one - most other things from IKEA haven't caused issue.2

SparepartsAnonymous reviewerI really like these but our child opened the drawers and used them as a ladder to get to something on top of the wardrobe above. All the runners snapped and we can't find spares. We've tried ones advertised as compatible but they weren't. Have we missed IKEA selling spare runners?4

Nice but difficult to open drawersAnonymous reviewerYou need to buy handles for these otherwise you have to open them from the sides which is a bit annoying, weird that Ikea did that, given everything normally works well.4
