Does Not Connect to NetworkAnonymous reviewerBought this afternoon and tried to connnect to my home network so that it would play my Brenon in a different room.
Had some initial problems actually collecting the item as the scanner for the Collection Point didn't work so spent well over half an hour waiting.
Got home, set up a Sondos account. The Brenon can 'see' the speaker but it just says 'paused'. I will keep trying to connect but at this rate I will be taking it back.
It looks good but I cannot rate it for anything else.1
Awesome Quality Anonymous reviewerAs awesome as you can expect from a Sonos product. This is being used as a surround speaker on the theatre setup. 5
Works well with other SonosAnonymous reviewerWorks well with other Sonos products4
Liked it so much myAnonymous reviewerLiked it so much my son bought another one.5
SpeakerAnonymous reviewerExcellent quality5
Very poorAnonymous reviewerUnless these things are wired they’re worse than useless. Always cutting out, losing the pairing etc. don’t waste your money.2
Excellent!Anonymous reviewerWorks great with my Sonos Arc. Bought a pair and will be purchasing more upcoming.5
Great system, Sonos on a budget 😁Anonymous reviewerI don't understand the few negative reviews or those struggling with the app or system, the pair of Symfoniks I bought have been instantly added to my existing system, firmware updated and set as a stereo pair, all within 10 minutes.
I bought these to replace a tired Play3 for the kitchen/dinner and they perform and sound great. No drop outs, good tone range and work absolutely seamlessly with the rest of my (original) Sonos kit.
Well done for the collaboration, I'll be buying another pair for the office 🙂5
Does well all that it claimsAnonymous reviewerI am truly sorry for those users who are disappointed by the lack of some features (Bluetooth, analogue in, etc…) but the documentation available online is quite clear about how this speaker is meant to work. I have read as well some reports that it does not work as surround speakers with Sonos sound bars, but that is inexact. If one has a solid and well managed Wifi network, they work flawlessly in combination with Sonos Soundbars and Subwoofers.
They deliver a satisfying sound, although they clearly are not offering audiophile levels of rendition.
I find these speakers to be extremely good value for money, and compact enough not to be an eyesore in most interiors, and they can be painted to blend even further in any setting.5
Jukebox, not a speakerAnonymous reviewerThe sound quality is great but unfortunately it is rather restrictive on how you can play audio. There is no bluetooth. You have to use the services available in sonos or compatible apps. So playing from spotify is fine but if you just want better audio for the youtube video you're watching, want to play from local music files, or play from a service not in sonos, you'll need a different speaker. Feels like this is basic functionality of a speaker which should be included at this price. There's no aux port either so you can't even plug a bluetooth receiver into it.2
Sonos Entry Point at half the cost!Anonymous reviewerWork seamlessly into SONOS architecture and Gen 2 App. Sound is very good in its own right, especially when stereo paired. Superb as rear surrounds for SONOS surround build, and can seamlessly switch from surround, to stereo pair, to single speakers via the app. If you like SONOS and are familiar with he "philosophy" of the system, these are a no-brainer. They are also a very well priced entry point if you're still undecided. Love 'em.
Works with AirPlay 2 and had no issues streaming Wi-Fi direct from Spotify, Amazon etc. using their respective apps as controllers.
Only thing, and it's probably personal taste, I'd be sliding the base range up on the EQ to really get the best out of them.5
perfect budget speakers for SONOs systemsAnonymous reviewerI purchased two of these for rears for my BEAM/SUB home theatre and they perform flawlessly.
for actually speaker YMMV but theyre good entry level speakers and sound great4
Great SpeakerAnonymous reviewerExcellent quality as you would expect. Only downside is not being able to simply Bluetooth connect, it requires a downloaded app which is more time consuming.
Otherwise a great speaker!4
No Chromecast compatibilityAnonymous reviewerSadly these Sonos based speakers don't have Chromecast functionality built in. This means that if you have Android devices you can't seamlessly transfer something you are listening to on your phone to the speakers. This leaves a hole where you can't use them for certain podcasts or radio catchup which was my main reason for purchase.
Such a shame as they are ideal low cost speakers in almost every other respect.1
