Everyone loves theseAnonymous reviewerI bought 5 of these to use in our staff room. They hold tea bags, decaf tea bags, coffee, decaf coffee and sugar. I painted a rectangle of blackboard paint on the top of the glass then labelled with a chalk pen. I also labelled the lids with a permanent marker. I'm really impressed that the lids screw on to exactly the same place each time so the labels are always the right way up when they're closed. They are highly practical as they hold a decent amount-I'm not having to fill them up every day or so like I did with our other containers, and because they are transparent, I can easily see when I need to replenish a pot. They look pretty classy!5

Material

What is glass?

Glass is mainly made of sand, soda and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.

Quality

Clear as glass

Glass doesn't absorb food flavours, colours or odours. For instance, you can use the same glass jar first for onions then for raspberries, and the raspberries won't taste of onion. As long as you wash the jar between foods. And unlike plastic, glass doesn't stain. Not even from tomato sauce or blueberries. That's what you call a clear advantage.
