Billed as standard single but huge gaps around bed frameAnonymous revieweri bought this on the advice of an IKEA salesperson as i needed a standard single mattress for my son's bed frame which is also a standard single. i got it home and unrolled it and it's far too small for the frame and has a huge 8cm gap at one end when pushed against the headboard and smaller but still noticeable gaps around the sides. it says on the website allow time for it to take its full shape and size but surely it's not going to expand enough to close such big gaps?! so disappointing1
Too smallAnonymous reviewerBought this mattress to go with the SLAKT bed for my son but the mattress is too small with massive gaps and looks terrible.1
Poor QualityAnonymous reviewerThis is a poor quality matrass, it hurts my fiancée's back. Avoid it.1
Wrong size for the SMASTAD bed frame Anonymous reviewerOrdered this mattress to go with my daughters SMASTAD as one of the recommended mattresses only to discover after an 8 hour build that the mattress is 10cm too small! Now have to try and arrange an exchange and my daughter is without a place to sleep as it’s Easter weekend!! Nice one IKEA, it’s a massive shame because the mattress is comfy and exactly what she wanted but 10cm gap in a high sleeper really isn’t ideal
I would recommend the mattress based on what we saw in store and how comfortable it was just don’t buy it for the SMASTAD loft bed 2
Avoid this mattress at any costAnonymous reviewerI've recently bought two mattresses for my guest room (especially my parents who are over 65), and the mattress is not as described. First the mattress is not firm which is causing back pain for both my parents. Plus, it makes squeaky noise. The mattress is not comfortable at all... guys avoid at any cost.
I will be requesting a return as soon as possible... 1
We got this mattress for our daughter. It makes a lot of noise, which I don't think is normal. We also had a spring mattress before and it never made a squeaking noise. Our daughter is 20 kg and every time she moves, the mattress squeaks. I think it's defective because I don't think a new mattress should be so noisy.Anonymous reviewerWe got this mattress for our daughter. It makes a lot of noise, which I don't think is normal. Wrong sizeAnonymous reviewerI bought this in standard double and it is much smaller than what is displayed on the pack. It should be 135x190cm, but it's actually 132x184 so there is a massive gap around it.
I contacted customer service and I was offered exchange. I went for VALEVÅG this time and it arrived exactly same size again!! Absolutely awfull! i recently moved house and bought lots of stuff from Ikea and i am having lot's of problems, so quality control is not up to scratch any more. Very disappointing indeed.1
Small in sizeAnonymous reviewerI bought two of these mattresses to go with two Hemnes single beds also purchased from Ikea. These mattresses are recommended for these beds via the Ikea website but the problem is they are too small for the bed frame. There is a good one to one and a half inch gap on the width and the length of the bed. On returning to Ikea Warrington, I spoke with the colleague in the bed department as I thought maybe I hd bought the wrong mattress but was informed all single sized mattresses are the same size, we both viewed the bed on display and the colleague was dismayed to see that the mattress doesn’t fit the bed in the showroom either. She was very apologetic but could not help any further. This has now become a major problem at home as one son is crying his teddy bears are falling down the side of his bed and my other son who is autistic is having trouble thinking he is going to fall out the bed.
Ikea needs to address these mattress size issues. They cannot sell mattresses that do not fit.3
Good Value And ComfortableAnonymous reviewerHappy with yhis mattress, haven't tried it personally but teenage daughter found ìt very comfortable5
Delivery and assembling is goodAnonymous reviewerDelivery and assembling is good4
Very strong, chemical odour.Anonymous reviewerThe mattress was out in the room for three days, well ventilated and aired all the time. The smell of some kind of chemical is just unbearable. It gives me a terrible headache and causes allergic reactions. It feels as if it is soaked in something disgusting. Don’t recommend.1
Excellent mattress!Anonymous reviewerVery comfortable, highly recommended!5
